Dear Parents,
As we begin the process for the 2013-14 school year I want to thank everyone for spreading the word
about Holy Family. Our enrollment grew by 19% over the last school year and this has caused us to re-
evaluate our five year goals. As I prepare for next year there are some key elements described herein to
help this process.
Tuition will be as stated two years ago (below). Reminder; there is a discount listed on the back of the
tuition form regarding early payment and for students in grades 6-8 based on the number of years
enrolled.. As always, tuition assistance will be available for families in need. As in the past there is a
$625.00 fee for students not affiliated with the Catholic Church. The definition of affiliation is that the
children are Catholic and the family is an active church member (attends church and makes regular
donations to support that church).

Admission/Readmission Process
1. The ‘Tuition Agreement’ must be completed.
2. SMART Tuition form must be completed.
3. Registration fee of $100 per child (up to $300) be paid.
When these are received further information will follow regarding assistance and the update of
student information.
For all families seeking financial aid via the diocese or through local funds the “SMART TUITION AID
ANALYSIS” must be completed. This will ensure that we receive all the aid we are eligible for through
the diocese and help me distribute local funds in an equitable manner (all financial information is held in
the strictest of confidence). This form must be completed by March 15, 2013. I will send applications to
those who applied last year and the information about how to complete the application on line.
Application for admission or re-admission begins on February 4th, 2013. Please make every effort to
return the forms as soon as possible so we can plan for next year in a timely manner. If you have any

TUITION POLICY AND APPLICATION PROCESS


It is the goal of Holy Family School to provide a quality Catholic education for the children of our communities. Tuition, parish support, PTO support and the Annual Fund drive provide the revenues necessary to cover the school's expenses. Due to the continually increasing costs, it is essential that each family utilizing the school contribute to the expenses involved by paying tuition.


The Diocese of Syracuse has set forth a policy regarding tuition payment. When tuition payments are delinquent the school reserves the right to decline enrollment of a student for subsequent semesters until such payments are made or an alternative agreement is reached with respect to such payment. In addition, one or all of the following sanctions will occur for failure to pay tuition according to the tuition schedule:


  1. A student may not begin school in September if there is past tuition due.


  1. A tuition payment plan must be in place in order for a student to start the new school year.


  1. If tuition is two months in arrears the student will not be able to return to school the following Monday.


  1. If a student withdraws from Holy Family School after January 31st, a full tuition payment is still owed to Holy Family for that school year.


Limited tuition assistance is available through the diocesan programs to aid families in financial need. Applications must be made in the spring prior to the next school year.


A non-refundable registration fee per family will be required to secure your child’s placement in our school. We do realize that tuition is a financial burden for many of our families. All new applicants must bring the following information to school when registering:

 

  1. Birth Certificate

  2. Baptismal Certificate

  3. Record of Immunizations with corresponding dates

  4. History of any medical illness, surgery, physical or speech handicap

  5. IEP’s or 504 Plans.
